Loy Krathong is Thailand’s very own ‘festival of lights’. This national event takes place annually on the evening of the 12th lunar month, usually in the first half of November. The celebration involves various rituals at Buddhist temples around Phuket, though the most famous and popular part is the launching of a krathong.
